Job Summary
Monitors and controls process equipment while making proper adjustments to insure quality and quantity of products within specified limits.
Essential Job FunctionsOperate and monitor DCS system to control process in assigned department area and make process adjustments as required to achieve desired results.Operate and monitor systems through sample collections and tests to determine changes that should be made to maintain the quality of products and processes.Maintain records of required documentation for hourly test results of in-process product.Maintain all equipment of the area and may perform routine preventive maintenance duties on such equipment.Maintain a clean process area.Utilize technical expertise to trouble-shoot and eliminate process-related problems.Provide assurance, monitoring, or reporting of environmental issues.Provide training to less experienced department employees on subjects such as process operations, safety, and company policies and procedures.Contribute to the process of creating and writing SOP’s and Safety Plans.Reset electrical panels to restart equipment in a safe and timely manner in accordance with authorized guidelines.Understand lock-out/tag-out/try-out procedures and confined space procedures and monitors compliance regularly, reporting safety discrepancies in a timely manner.Perform duties in a safe manner, utilizing all approved safety equipment, and successfully completes all safety certification requirements.May perform reasonably similar or related duties as assigned.Job RequirementsHigh School Diploma or GED (preferred).Previous factory experience (preferred).Strong safety performance and value for safetyHave a general understanding of how to use a computer and email.Communicate effectively through speech and writing along with other mediums such as email.Must stay motivated and show initiative to complete tasks under limited supervision.Display quality work through strong attention to detail.Correctly operate motorized and electric equipment.Work with a team orientation by coordinating efforts with colleagues to complete tasks effectively.Work overtime as necessary.Meet requests of supervision including but not limited to the essential functions listed.Utilize all equipment such as DCS panel, computer, process equipment, quality control instruments, forklift and other equipment in a correct manner for its created purpose.Physical RequirementsAbility to work in extreme temperaturesAbility to lift fifty pounds routinely, climb stairs and ladders, and work at high elevations ADM requires the successful completion of a background check.
