Job Description SummaryThe Operator / Metal Fabricator position at our Erlanger, KY Service Center requires a versatile and adaptable employee capable of working with a variety of machines. Your role

Sets-up and operate fabricating machines such as CNC plasma table, press brake, drill press, cold saw, and plate rolling machine.Operate cranes, forklifts, and bevellersBasic blueprint reading – Understanding specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations, and setup requirementsDe-burr, grind and finish with hand tools or power-driven equipmentProduce high quality work and achieve tight tolerances to fixtures and engineered drawingsMaintain clean, organized, and safe work environment following all safety standards and requirementsPerform preventative maintenance tasks as required

Basic Qualifications (requirements):

High School Diploma/GEDMinimum 3 years experience working with fabricating machinesPress brake, drill press, plasma table operationsBlueprint readingWorking knowledge of metrology instruments (calipers, micrometers, ruler, and height gauge)Strong math skills

Desired Qualifications:

Ability to handle heavy equipmentAbility to stand for long periods of timeFamiliarity with 5S & lean manufacturingStrong interpersonal and organizational skillsStrong communication skills (both written and verbal)Strong team working skills

The salary range for this position is $22 - $32 Hourly. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location.
