Job Description

Seeking a suitably qualified and reliable Operator-Truck to be responsible for the operation of rehandling truck to achieve productivity in a manner aligned to safety and environmental policies. To ensure the truck is in good condition by regularly conducting pre and post checks. The role will report to the Supervisor–Mining (Production).

Key tasks and responsibilities:

Maximize utilization of available trucks in a cost-efficient manner to transport ore and waste to designated dumping areasOperate equipment defensively and efficiently - ensuring compliance on all road safety and traffic rules and regulations to meet production targetsConduct pre and post operational safety inspections on equipment, and complete daily equipment reportsAdvise supervisor of any required maintenance or repairs of equipment

QualificationsBehaviour consistent with OceanaGold Corp. Values and OceanaGold Way;At least high school graduate/relevant Vocational/Trade Certificate;With 6-12 months of experience in driving truck or 2-3 years manual LV driving experience;With valid professional driver’s license with Restrictions B, B1, B2, C, D;Holder of NCII in Heavy Equipment Operation (Rigid On-Highway Dump Truck) is an advantage;Basic knowledge in automotive parts and maintenance;Advanced knowledge in LTO traffic rules and regulations; andPossesses a “can do and will do” attitude.
