OpEx and IE Specialist I

Job Objective
Improvement of productivity and economic efficiency in the production area assigned with the help of industrial
engineering methods of work and system design under ergonomic, material flow and value-adding aspects and
by means of support of the compensation types and work time models introduced in compliance with operational
and pay scale agreements
Providing support during planning and steering of the Operational Excellence Road Map, managing small
OE projects at individual locations
Supporting the establishment of improvement suggestions to bring about a HELLA production system as well as
implementing measures for efficiency improvement in assembly, prefabrication and logistics and administration
Supporting of an up-to-date and reliable data basis for calculation, capacity planning and costing and for the
continuous improvement process by acquiring data, among other things, of main and secondary processing
times, additional and waiting times and setup times and associated indices

Duties and Responsibilities

 
A Operational Excellence
1 Support implementation of the respective tools, ensure coherence and uniformity of the introduced
methods and tools in cooperation with the plant manager
2 Participate in the drawing up and defining of the improvement plan for the plant to be looked after
3 Inspect the production areas to be looked after aiming at detecting potentials for improvement in the current
workflow and company organization structure, do cause analysis and device appropriate measures
4 Participate in the preparation of suggestions for improvement and function as interface to CIP
5 Plan, support and handle little improvement projects with reference to the procedures, logistic conceptions,
processes and systems of work in collaboration with the shop floor areas
6 Help in the creation and subsequent implementation of technical process standards and logistic
procedures in cooperation with the responsible entities taking the production system (e.g. HelPS) into
account
7 Participate in the corporate improvement process (e.g. Kaizen), guarantee implementation of the
suggestions for improvement and initiate required activities in collaboration with the responsible entities.
8 Participate in working out and introducing methods to extend Operative Excellence in overhead and TtM
processes (e.g. lessons learned)
9 Carry out internal action success control by harmonizing business administration data in collaboration with
the respective organizational units
10 Prepare, preside over and perform workshops as well as train and qualify employees

11Give production-related advice and support in the realization of new projects from Development

B Industrial Engineering

1 Cooperate in the designing of work systems with the aim of improving the productivity of production
process flows under ergonomic aspects
2 If applicable, triggering of correction by the process/production scheduler or independent updating of the
industrial engineering data and fields of the routing
3 Check of adherence to planned working method and calculated cycle times in the launch phase (launch
support), updating and processing of the indices ''open rating data'' and ''te change”
4 Involvement in the capacity planning of resources and relocating products, as well as checking the
necessary capacities in the event of significant changes in planning, Acquisition of the necessary data
for calculation, planning and wage payment using the MTM productivity management system as well as
REFA methodology
5 Support of production bonus implementation projects and proper problem solving in case of obstacles
6 Calculation of baseline performances for different bonus areas, training and mentoring of bonus groups,
regular tracking of bonus results as well as detailed analysis in case of abnormalities, manual
interventions based on given standards in cooperation with the relevant manager
7 Accountable for ERP PP-AV Master Data regarding work centers, routings (incl. component allocation)
and production versions according AD-00111 and AD-00140
8 Training of ME Key-Users, MEs and IEs regarding work centers, routings (incl. component allocation)
and production versions
9 Accountable for creation of work centers, active use (e.g. CR01, CR02); create data according to
guidelines (F3050); owner “SAP PP-AV Expert” SAP role

C Group Work (Production)
1 Coordinate comprehensive and sustainable group work application by continuous support of groups,
group leaders and supervisors
2 Ensure concept related qualification of groups, group leaders and supervisors, carrying out appropriate
training measures in line with given standards
3 Take responsibility for solving problems during the proper implementation of and adherence to agreed
targets and performance indicators of the related group work concept
4 Adapt group classification, monitor requirement-dependent components of payment, informing the
respective organizational units
5 Control and report group work related KPIs
