OpEx (Operational Excellence) Manager

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a OpEx (Operational Excellence) Manager.This role is based out of our Greenwood, SC location. 

 

 

Plans, develops, directs and coordinates the Continuous Improvement strategy, which includes deployment, training and mentoring of Eaton Business System, OpA and CIF integration. Coordinates and drives cost out for the facility.  Aligns all programs to ensure the strategic business initiatives and the daily safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and inventory results are achieved.

 

The expected annual salary range for this role is $105000.03 - $154000.04 a year.

What you’ll do: Drives the implementation of the Eaton Business System and the development of future state plans and manufacturing strategiesActs as the on-site Eaton Lean Six Sigma (ELSS) expert, driving the deployment of lean manufacturing techniquesProvides leadership and delivers continuous improvement through Rapid Improvement Events (RIE).Responsible for overall plant performance for Cost Out activities and meeting profit plan goals.Leads the capital expense planning and utilization strategy for the facility. Provides and secures specific training in lean tools for new champions to meet strategic goals. Supports and provides guidance to the VSM teams to ensure all A3 actions / active bursts meet business case needs, have established plans to meet completion timelinesLead change to improve organizational effectiveness. Drives the change management necessary to implement effective program and a continuous improvement focused culture.Know and follow established job specific and facility wide health and safety procedures and rules.Identify and correct any health and safety issues, unsafe acts, and unsafe work conditions.  Inform plant leadership as appropriate. Participate in accident, near-hit accident or potential hazard investigations.Know and implement regulatory compliance requirements.

 

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university. Minimum 5 years of experience in a Manufacturing and/or Engineering Management2 Years of prior experience with Lean, Continuous Improvement or Operational Excellence

Preferred Qualifications:

Lean/six sigma certificationAdvanced degree in business administration or engineeringPrior experience with leadership development within teams Ability to execute organizational changeStrong working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Principles, certified expert in 5S, VSM and standard workAdvanced knowledge of statistical analysis and measurement techniques
