Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Ophthalmic Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for documenting physician visits in the EMR system, scribing for multiple physicians, handling some instruments as directed by physicians, performing patient work-ups after doctor visits, and effectively communicating with patients about procedures and treatments.

The work schedule is Monday to Friday, between 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM, depending on the clinic's needs. Training will be conducted at our admin building in the Galleria for one day. The role involves working on a team of 8-24 individuals, with each physician requiring 8 clinic staff. The home clinic is one of the busiest in Houston, seeing 100+ patients a day. The role also involves supporting other clinics as needed, with schedules provided two weeks in advance. On rare occasions, travel to other clinics may be required, with mileage reimbursement provided. The environment is extremely fast-paced, with 80-100 patients seen daily. The dress code is navy blue scrubs, with short, groomed nails, and all hair must be tied back

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $19.00
