Our surgery center was recognized as one of America's top ambulatory surgery centers by Newsweek in 2022. Our surgeons offer femtosecond assisted laser cataract surgery.  North Georgia Eye Aesthetics offers oculoplastic and reconstructive services.  We have a dedicated dry eye clinic which includes state of the art treatments including Lipiflow and IPL. Whether your patients need an annual eye check or treatment for a specific eye condition, North Georgia Eye Associates can care for their entire family.

Position Summary

We are actively recruiting for an Ophthalmic Scribe to join our growing team at North Georgia Eye Associates

Responsibilities

This position requires customer service skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a degree of independent decision-making.

 

Ophthalmic skills include:

Obtaining and documenting patient historyDetermining visual acuityAdministering eye drops, ointments, and irrigating solutions to the eye as ordered by physicianPerforming office duties and clinical tasks - entering data into EMR, inputting exam information into EMR for the physicianAssisting with certain in office proceduresProviding patient servicesMaintaining equipment and instruments

Accurate clinical judgementAbility to pay attention to detailAbility to maintain confidentialityObvious enthusiasm and interest in required skillsAffable and outgoing personality with professional demeanorA true desire to learnThe ability to communicate effectively to employees and patientsAbility to make independent, accurate decisions regarding the best use of his/her timeThe ability to seek instruction in areas where he/she is not knowledgeableThe ability to recognize inconsistencies in test resultsThe ability to seek advice from others when accuracy is uncertain, and findings are inconsistentUnderstanding that dependent upon need there may be instances where he/she is asked to travel to satellite offices Qualifications Must be flexible with regards to shift ( as hours may vary and are dictated by clinic needs).Graduation from an accredited high school3 to 5 years of Ophthalmology experience preferred but not required. Will train the right candidate.Dependable transportation required to travel to other offices as required (Must be willing to work out of Cumming, Dacula and Gainesville offices) Company Benefits
