OPR Planner with French

About the role:


Under the management of the OPR Liquid/ Solid Lead, the OPR Planner Liquid/ Solid will be responsible for developing short and medium-term plans for Barry Callebaut production facilities. As part of the weekly S&OE process, the supply planner will work closely with customer service, production plants, as well as key business stakeholders to ensure availability of products serving our customer on time and in full at the lowest cost possible.  Additionally, the Supply Planner will participate in key initiatives and projects to support continuous improvement. 

 

 

Key responsibilities:


•    Develop and maintain production plans across sites with optimal use of network, asset utilization, and maximized customer satisfaction
•    Generate reports to identify potential supply shortages and check capacity utilization •    Proactively identify and solve supply chain issues, potentially in collaboration with other planners (e.g. Supply planner solids/ liquid)
•    Ensure feasibility of the plan with regard to downstream constraints (e.g. cocoa products availability) and resolve issues in collaboration with the cocoa planner
•    Bring unsolvable issues to the relevant decision forum (as part of S&OE)
•    Follow-up on actions resulting from the S&OE meetings and ensure implementation of decisions impacting supply taken in the S&OE
•    Confirm availability for the sales orders based on the latest plan for the horizon
•    Participate in the weekly demand shaping process by approving the forecast increases provided by demand planning teams
•    Get the production plan signed-off by the plants for the operational horizon
•    Monitor production plan and hand over the production plan on a weekly basis to the factories for schedule implementation
•    Measure attainment to plan and challenge Operations on their performance; Report structural deviations via S&OE
•    Ensure operational plan is in line with tactical guidance: shift regimes, volume allocation between sites, transfers and investment ramp-up
•    Drive regular reviews with plant teams on planning parameters to model capacity: OEEs, rates, calendars and maintenance plan and adjust parameters into the system if needed.
•    Monitor and challenge factories on their attainment to plan
•    Develop and implement strategies for optimizing distribution
•    Identify and coordinate the transfers of products between factories to solve capacity bottlenecks
•    Monitor and analyze supply chain performance metrics
•    Review and update supply network model and processes to ensure cost-efficiency
•    Establish and maintain relationships with production and distribution sites to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality
•    Collaborate as Supply Chain representative in the assigned projects relating to the responsible plants or subcontractors (such as new production lines, new product implementations…)
 


About you:


•    Bachelor or Masters Degree, preferably within Business or Engineering
•    APICs or related supply chain certification •    English fluent
•    2 to 3 years experience in supply planning, purchasing, inventory management, and/or logistics
•    Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
•    Knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices, specifically the integrated supply planning process.
•    Excellent communication and presentation skills
•    Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
•    Proficient in Microsoft Excel
•    Previous experience with SAP and Business Objects
•    Previous experience with OMP is a plus
•    Process Oriented
