OPS Data Scientist
Job Description:Data Science and Management
The candidate will lead data science and data management efforts, focusing on advanced analysis and manipulation of large-scale datasets. Tasks include data preparation, wrangling, and creating ETL pipelines to optimize performance and maintain data integrity. The candidate will design and implement predictive models, perform statistical analysis, and visualize data insights to inform decision-making. They will use tools such as Python, R, SQL (MS SQL Server, MySQL), and big data frameworks. The candidate may work with semantic query languages, semantic data stores, and related databases to enhance data accessibility and integration.
Develops Software
The candidate will design and develop health and medical-related software systems, focusing on creating robust and efficient applications. They will define system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding, ensuring alignment with project goals. The candidate will prepare technical specifications, write and debug code, and recommend strategies for developing new software solutions or enhancing existing ones. They will collaborate with team members to assess design options, define technical requirements, and troubleshoot complex issues. Regular participation in biweekly meetings will be required to present progress and discuss solutions.
$20.00 Hourly
Minimum Requirements:Bachelor’s degree and one year of appropriate experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Ability to work within Linux or Mac operating systems Ability to plan, test, and execute software and system upgradesExcellent communication skills, with both technical and non-technical audiences Ability to work as part of a technical team, collaborating and sharing work Willingness to do the work necessary to meet deadlines One year of professional experience in software development, familiarity with Python, PHP, Java, or JavaScript frameworks and experience with at least one source control system.
Experience with newer technologies such as SPARQL, Semantic Data stores, and NoSQL. Experience with REDCap Experience using R and R libraries Experience with creating automated programs using programming languages like Python Special Instructions to Applicants:
