Here’s the Gist:
As an Operational Excellence Specialist, you’ll oversee the execution of all lean manufacturing and 5S activities, along with the replenishment of cleanroom Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and garments. Your time will be spent (1) reporting on key 5S metrics, evaluating 5S performance, and guiding lean/5S activities and (2) on your feet replenishing consumables and cleanroom attire.
You will work an 8-hour day shift Monday through Friday. You will also occasionally need to come in during night shift (after 6PM) to guide night shift employees (around four times per month).
The Day-to-Day:
- Track key performance data to report in graphs/charts.
- Attend scheduled 5S walks and monitor 5S observations to provide guidance where necessary.
- Lead projects or tasks related to lean manufacturing, replenishment, and continuous improvement.
- Interact with and guide all departments and personnel on site.
- Maintain stock of PPE throughout the site and cleanrooms.
- Order PPE to keep stocked in storage room to be distributed.
This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements):
- Strong attention to detail and quality-oriented decision making skills
- Interest in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement activities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to wear full cleanroom attire (occasionally), and lift up to 25 pounds on a regular basis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Microsoft Power BI experience is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to respectfully challenge people not following protocol.
- Ability to present training material to a group of 20 or more people in person.
