Ops & Tech Professional II

What the day will look like: Writes, deploys, and maintains complex queries and stored procedures with SQL experience to support both internal and client delivery of reporting as well as analytical support and data requests. Initiate analyses to determine the cause of trends that vary materially from anticipated results sharing conclusions with and recommendations with the client and internal team. Creates/updates programming reporting data to a final delivery form through the use of Excel, Access, or other acceptable forms to create customer client reporting. Coordinates the gathering of client data from functional areas for review and input into client reports as assigned Delivers custom reporting to clients on a timely basis through emails, ftp sites, etc. Reviews and assesses data being reported, alerting team members of any issues or trends that should be acted upon. Maintain accuracy for reporting tables provided by IT and provide IT requirements/direction when needed. Understanding the impacts and proactively alerting internal customers and clients regarding issues and delays is entailed as well. This position would oversee the automation of processes within the department as well. Writes or otherwise communicates (email, PowerPoint) persuasively to client, and others to help explain analysis and/or program recommendations based on the data trends. Attends to details with excellent written and verbal communication skills, extreme detail focus to avoid re-work and errors, and 100% follow-through on outstanding items. Documents and maintains our records of report development work and communicates process to AIM team members and clients. Publishes an inventory of reports and other contact points periodically. Maintains reference tables in support of accurate client reporting. Plans and prepares for new clients, new programs, and new reports occurring in the day-to-day process by working together with those providing data and developing the new reports and gaining a working knowledge of the new reports. Maintains a work structure and records to enable extensive multi-tasking while keeping track of deliverables owed and deadlines. Re-prioritizes tasks as required to accomplish each day's work. Maintains good working relations with client contacts, key members of the Aon team and external resources. Manages completion of specific reporting requests/tactics as assigned by VP. Skills and experience that will lead to success: 5-7 years of Financial Analysis experience Expert level SQL experience is required- candidates will be tested on-site for SQL proficiency Knowledge of Power BI is desired Knowledge of call center fundamentals and reporting is desired Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of industry experience How we support our colleagues: In addition to our comprehensive benefits package, we encourage a diverse workforce. The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $78,200 to $100,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location. This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
