Enabling the movement towards advanced chip design, KLA's Global Products Group (GPG), which is responsible for creating all of KLA’s metrology and inspection products, is looking for the best and the brightest research scientist, software engineers, application development engineers, and senior product technology process engineers. The RAPID division is the world leading provider of reticle inspection solutions for the semiconductor industry. The company provides inspection solutions to both the mask shops and the semiconductor fabs to ensure that lithography yields are consistently high thus enabling cost-effective manufacturing.Job Description/Preferred Qualifications
ResponsibilitiesLead and ownership of design of optics and optical subsystems
Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, software and system engineering teams to fulfill system level goals
Investigate different design options and finding the best option through evaluating tolerances, manufacturability, light budgets and other trade-offs in primarily illumination system.
Deliver a complete optical system design by performing thorough tolerancing analysis with full consideration of alignment process, metrology, system calibrations and opto-mechanical design limitations.
Translate system or subsystem requirements into optical design and optical manufacturing requirements.
Deliver opto-mechanical design requirements such DOF table.
Design and implement optical alignment and metrology process, test/tooling fixtures to achieve targeted optical performance.
Follows complete design process throughout full product development cycle. It includes design reviews, part procurement from vendors, verification, integration and product release.
Debug, and resolve any optical problems that arise with the system
Designing and building off-axis mirror system in high precision
Deliver coating modeling in optical software and optical requirements to complete coating requirements.
Conduct optical analysis to deliver information needed to complete light budget.
QualificationsExcellent optical system design such as illumination design, high precision lens/mirror design preferably in semiconductor tools
Must have high proficiency in illumination optical design software such as Zemax
Able to conduct statistical optical component and system tolerancing; create specifications of precision opto-mechanical assemblies
Understand optics manufacturability and reflect it in optical design; optical metrology tool and data
Building and aligning complex optical system using diverse mechanical, auto-collimator, point source microscope, CGH, and interferometry.
Test stand design and build: concept, error budget, realization.
Optical module and system build and debugging.
ExperienceFive years of professional experience in high precision optical system development, preferably in semiconductor tools desired
Experience of working with premier optical suppliers to develop high precision optics and optical assembly
Experience in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, efficiently handling responsibilities, and ensuring the prompt completion of multiple concurrent projects.
SkillsAbility to quickly acquire technical knowledge and thoroughly investigate technical issues both analytically and hands-on.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly report investigation progress to managers and customers, and document findings in detailed reports.
Prioritizing customer satisfaction by ensuring quality, efficiency, and professionalism.
Ability to complete assignments with attention to detail and high degree of accuracy.
Ability to excel in a demanding environment with changing workloads and timelines.
Result driven-demonstrate ownership and accountability; identifies bottlenecks and drives improvements.
Adhere to established procedures and meet specified timelines
Minimum Qualifications
Doctorate (Academic) Degree and 0 years related work experience; Master's Level Degree and related work experience of 3 years; Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 5 years
