This position offers opportunities for both day and night shifts, providing flexibility for the right candidate. As a Manufacturing Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production processes and maintaining high-quality standards. + Operate and monitor various manufacturing equipment and machinery + Perform quality control checks and inspections throughout the production process + Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues to minimize downtime + Follow and enforce safety protocols and procedures in the manufacturing environment + Maintain accurate records of production data, quality metrics, and equipment maintenance + Collaborate with team members to optimize production efficiency and meet targets + Assist in the setup and changeover of production lines as needed + Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing processes + Clean and maintain work areas and equipment to ensure a safe and organized workspace + Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and quality standards + What You'll Do: As an Optical Manufacturing Associate, you'll play an integral role in our production team. Based on department needs, your duties may include tasks such as: + Bench/Mounters: Inserting lenses into frames, edging, beveling, tinting, and ensuring lenses meet correct power, axis, and prism standards. + Inspection: Checking frames and lenses for cosmetic and optical defects using ANSI standards. + Surface: Using state of the art CNC optical machinery. Handling lens surface processes like taping, blocking, generating, coating, and polishing. + AR Department: Operating state of the art Anti Reflective Coating Machinery, sorting and inspecting lenses, and ensuring they meet quality standards. + High school diploma or equivalent preferred + Proficiency in operating manufacturing equipment and machinery + Basic computer skills for data entry and report generation + Knowledge of safety protocols and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment + Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality + Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively + Flexibility to work both day and night shifts as required + Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds Why Choose National Vision Lab?
