ZEISS is a world leading Optics Company and we are preferably seeking an experienced Optical Mechanic / Fitter for our Tonsley based operation. Reporting to the Production Manager, your primary role will be responsible for providing a consistent quality product which can be delivered to the customer within expected time frames, meeting all quality standards. Whilst primarily focused on Cut Edge and Fit operations there will be a requirement to act as a back-up for all other aspects of the Rx Lens production operation as required

Associated duties include, but are not limited to:

Responsible for cutting and fitting of Ophthalmic lenses to all styles of spectacle framesMonitor equipment and processes completing agreed maintenance programs as requested.Responsible for carrying out equipment calibrations in accordance with quality requirementsContribute to the training and development of staff.Work in partnership with Lab Manager and team members to meet company targets and address any customer issue.Making precision optical parts

Key Requirements:

Demonstrated experience within an Optical Laboratory Fitting environment is highly regardedEnergetic, enthusiastic, proactive and prepared to lead by exampleHigh attention to detail with an ability to work without supervisionAbility to maintain high standards of quality Commitment to quality and continuous improvement.Ability to communicate across various teams within the organizationA process driven individual who is highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure
