The Optimization manager is encouraged to drive operational excellence by leading cross functional teams through influence to deliver projects safely, on budget and on time.
Responsibilities:Validate Warehouse capacity planning in alignment with Sales, Inventory, Operations Planning teams.Develop and execute a slotting strategy to maximize system performance to drive service and cost goals.Lead multiple projects to achieve the Key Performance Indicators (critical metric) targets through action plans and regular reviews.Analyze and plan workload, for allocation of resources. Drive assessment of actual productivity in relation to benchmarks.Build strong local operational proficiencies in the local team to drive innovation and agility.Provide direct and indirect leadership needed to drive success.Oversee a group of maintenance professionals to ensure preventative and corrective maintenance is completed on time. Monitor and report on equipment uptime.Accountable for work performed their supervision; ensuring it is done in a timely and efficient manner according to the applicable codes.Assist director in establishing and implementing medium and long term strategy and policies for automation and other process improvements.Ensure that all projects in their sphere of influence are executed safely and align with all federal, state, and local laws.Special projects and related duties as requested.Education & Experience:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business Management, MBA not required but preferred.Minimum of seven years Previous experience with Manhattan, SAP, SQL, and ASRS systems preferred.Minimum of 10 Years of dynamic experience in operations, supply chain and logistics.Warehouse experience applying digital technologies and innovation.Strong people leadership and talent development experience.Experience in leading multiple projects, high level scheduling managing within budget.Demonstrated strength in leading projects across broad internal (business leadership, sales/solutions, hardware and software engineering, etc.), external collaborators (client leadership, general contractors, architects, subcontractors).Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.Typical schedule will be Monday to Friday 8-4:30.
