**Job Type:** Regular **Time Type:** Full time **Work Shift:** Day (United States of America) **FLSA Status:** Exempt **When you join the growing BILH team, you're not just taking a job, you’re making a difference in people’s lives.** **Job Description:** **Optometrist** **Burlington, MA** **Beth Israel Lahey Health** **Join our team!** Lahey Hospital and Medical Center (a founding member of Beth Israel Lahey Health) is seeking a skilled Optometrist to join our growing Division of Ophthalmology. **About Lahey:** + 317-bed tertiary care facility with outpatient clinics and a Level I trauma center in Burlington, MA. + Physician-led, multi-disciplinary group practice of 600+ doctors. + Multiple locations across the northern and western suburbs of Boston (Burlington, Peabody, Arlington, and Lynnfield). + State-of-the-art surgical facility in Peabody. + Fully integrated EPIC EHR platform. + Excellent school systems, abundant cultural activities, and convenient access to mountains and seacoast. **About the Role:** As an Optometrist at Lahey, you will: + Perform comprehensive eye exams. + Conduct vision tests and analyze results. + Diagnose and treat ocular issues and diseases (e.g., farsightedness, glaucoma). + Prescribe corrective lenses and fit contact lenses. + Provide contact lens treatment with scleral lenses, Rigid GPL, with a special interest in Keratoconus. + Build strong doctor-patient relationships. + Handle eye care emergencies. + Evaluate patients for other health issues (e.g., diabetes) and refer as needed. **Qualifications:** + Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) Degree + Massachusetts State License/Controlled Substance License **Experience:** Demonstrated ability to provide comprehensive eye care, from routine check-ups to treatment and management of visual disease or injury.
