Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Optometrist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive eye care services, including examinations, diagnosis, and treatment of visual disorders. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to work effectively in a clinical environment. The Optometrist will also ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain accurate medical records. Responsibilities * Conduct thorough eye examinations to assess vision and detect eye diseases. * Diagnose and treat various visual disorders and conditions. * Prescribe corrective lenses and other treatments as necessary. * Maintain detailed medical records of patient visits, treatments, and outcomes. * Educate patients on proper eye care practices and the importance of regular eye examinations. * Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care. * Stay updated with advancements in optometry practices and technologies. * Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including HIPAA standards. Qualifications * Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution. * Valid state optometry license to practice. * Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to eye care. * Familiarity with aseptic techniques and the ability to perform vital signs assessments. * Experience in pediatrics is a plus but not required. * Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care. * Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment while maintaining individual accountability. * Proficiency in using electronic health record systems is preferred.
