About Berryessa Optometry
Berryessa Optometry provides a wealth of eye care services and optometric specialties to families and residents in Berryessa, Milpitas, San Jose, and Silicon Valley. The practice offers a range of specialties, including specialty contact lens fittings for keratoconus and irregular corneas, myopia control, surgical co-management, and other ocular diseases. Approximately 13 comprehensive exams are performed daily with additional patients for follow-up visits. To help support the practice’s growth, Berryessa Optometry is looking for an additional provider to join the highly-trained staff of eight employees.
This technology-forward practice offers a complete eyecare experience using state-of-the-art technology to diagnose and treat a wide array of eye diseases. The practice is well-appointed with automated optical equipment and behind-the-scenes functional technology, including Topcon Digital Phoropter CV 5000, Topcon 3D OCT Maestro, Marco Nidek Topographer, and autorefractors. Cloud-based technology manages electronic health records, establishes a baseline of patients’ ocular health, and monitors changes.
Patients enjoy a family-friendly shopping experience as they browse a wide selection of optical frames and sunglasses from the optical boutique—plus, the practice offers the latest contact lens technology and carries advanced lenses, including scleral lenses.
About the Associate Optometrist Opening
The practice is seeking one part-time Associate Optometrist who always strives to provide exceptional patient care to enrich the quality of patients’ lives. You’ll provide eye care services for patients of all ages, insurances, and visual/medical diagnoses, two days a week, including Saturdays—additional days may be added upon patient demand. The Associate Optometrist role requires at least one year of experience (new graduates will be considered), certified in glaucoma and therapeutic pharmaceutical agents. A candidate who is also certified in Corneal Refractive Therapy, experienced in scleral lens fittings and glaucoma management will complement the practice. Compensation and benefits will be determined by work experience and qualifications, and, for the right candidate, a future partnership opportunity may be available.
