**Job Summary and Qualifications**
The Clinical Systems Analyst role is to deliver support to end users such as Physicians and Clinicians in the organization about various types of software programs efficiently and effectively.
Essential Job Functions:
1. Lead the integration between clinical areas and IT regarding the development and translation of business needs, using the appropriate reporting tools and methodologies.
2. Assist in development of educational materials and helps instruct clinical users on features, operation, and usage of software systems.
3. Determines the needs and requirements for clinical applications and assist in the evaluation, selection, and implementation of clinical systems.
4. Works with staff and physicians to optimize the usage of clinical systems through education and training, quality outcomes, and providing support in accordance with organizational goals.
5. Troubleshooting applications and software for all internal customers, such as operations, development, and other business units.
6. Manages work plans and communication strategies for any project associated with systems to be utilized by assigned departments. Participates in workgroups and develops progress reports for each phase of the initiative.
Additional Job Functions:
1. Develops and implements a communication plan for participants in initiatives at the facility level. Contributes to the development of internal and external communication plans for all audiences.
2. Maintains cooperative relationships with physicians, nurses, and other hospital staff. Advocates patient safety and advances culture change to promote initiative.
3. Test fixes and perform post-resolution follow-ups to ensure problems have been adequately resolved. Communicate application problems and issues to key stakeholders, including management, development teams, end users, and unit leaders.
4. Coordinate with department heads to assess departmental application needs and objectives.
**What qualifications you will need:**
Minimum Education, Experience, Training, Required Knowledge, Skill, Abilities and Other Job-Related Characteristics:
1. Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
2. Experience: Minimum 5 years overall experience in Information Systems within a clinical setting. Combination of experience to include systems analysis, analytical and technical skills.
3. Employee completes initial and ongoing training and competencies as defined by service line, facility and department/unit which are specific to the needs of the patient population served (if applicable).
