GDIT is seeking an Oracle Application Express (APEX) Developer to join our team supporting the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA)'s Corporate Business Systems (CBSOM).  

In this role, a typical day will include:

Design, develop, and document new applications features and functionalitiesMaintain and support existing applications on the APEX platformPerform system analysis and system development tasksDevelop standard and customer defined reports and dashboards and provide support for ad hoc reportingMaintain the interfaces between client solutions and other systemsAdhere to data architecture guidanceDevelopment of best practice methodologies such as SDLC and Agile etc.Continuously identify opportunities for application improvements, performance tuning and resolving issuesProvide technical expertise and guidance to staff and managementWork with Oracle Support on service requestsPossess strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to prepare and conduct presentations and prepare written reportsPresent project plans, status, and progress reports to the Project Managers

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:  

Bachelor’s degree and 5 years or 8 years of relevant experience. Two thirds of the experience need to be in Oracle Application Express (APEX)Ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities at any given timeStrong adaptability and capacity to work in fast-paced environmentsStrong background with Oracle Application Express Development (APEX)Data modelingOracle PL/SQLJavaScript familiarityPreferred qualifications (optional)Knowledge of Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) processPrevious Department of Energy experienceOracle Application Express, OBIEE and Tableau certificationsITIL v3 or v4 certificationExperience with ServiceNow for incident management, problem management, and service request management
