The Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) Developer will be responsible to maintain and enhance Business Intelligence systems for creating, converting, and securing and managing data flow into the data warehouse system.
This is a critical role and candidate must have experience in ELT (Extraction, Loading and Transformation) process of ODI to support channel applications and enterprise integration of data.
The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate lead level capabilities to Develop & Support ELT process, problem solving, and data analysis.
This position will be responsible for creation of ELT maps, migrations into different environments, maintenance and monitoring of the infrastructure, working with DBA’s as well as creation of new reports to assist executive and managerial levels within in analyzing the business needs to Client the customers.
The candidate must be self-starting, have a strong attention to detail and accuracy, and able to fill multiple roles within the Oracle environment.
Candidate will be expected to transfer ODI knowledge to Client’s ETL developers.
Qualifications:
Minimum 8 plus years hands on experience in Knowledge of Data Warehousing such as dimensional modeling, Star and Snowflake schemas, Data mart and Fact, Dimension tables, Slowly Changing Dimensions -Type I & II & III.
Person must have extensive knowledge of ODI with at least 5 years of experience using ODI and Oracle PL/SQL.
In addition, candidate should have data migration experience.
Experience in Oracle Warehouse builder is a plus.
Must be fully proficient in writing scalable and high volume ETL jobs for large volume data warehouses.
Must have a very good understanding of the ODI Architecture and setting up agents on Oracle WebLogic Server, Setting up Master and Work repositories.
Must have a solid experience in creating Interfaces to move data from source to Client schema.
Must be experienced in creating and writing cleansing routines to work with ODI Interfaces while creating load plans.
Experience in setting up Topology in complex environments is a must.
Manage and monitor production ETL Manage and monitor non-production ETL sessions and ascertain success of steps or failures with root cause analysis.
Understand & be able to tailor Knowledge Modules.
Design and develop the architecture for all data warehousing components (e.g. source system data ELT strategy, data staging, movement and aggregation; information and analytics delivery; and data quality strategy).
Setting up, debugging and implementing end-to-end ETL jobs.
Do performance tuning of ODI ELT Mappings.
Develop unit, system, and integration test plans.
Ability to analyze existing database schema DDL/Instance layout and make changes where required.
