Kforce has a client in Allentown, PA that is seeking an Oracle DBA. responsible for the design, implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of both Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server databases. This role ensures the availability, integrity, and security of all database systems, supports application development, and provides ongoing production support. Responsibilities: * Install, configure, upgrade, and manage Oracle and SQL Server database environments * Monitor database systems for performance, availability, and capacity planning * Implement and maintain backup and recovery strategies using RMAN (Oracle) and native SQL Server tools * Perform database tuning and optimization for performance, including SQL query tuning and index management * Manage database security including roles, privileges, and authentication mechanisms * Develop and maintain documentation of database configurations, processes, and procedures * Work closely with development and infrastructure teams to support database design and development * Implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions (e.g., Data Guard, RAC, Always On Availability Groups) * Support patching, upgrades, and application deployments in test and production environments * Provide on-call support for critical database incidents and ensure timely resolution of issues
