Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Database Administrator who is responsible for the development, performance, integrity, and security of database systems. The main duties include maintaining adherence to a data management policy and improving the overall efficiency of a company's database framework.

Responsibilities

Installation of RDBMS software and creation of Oracle databases on windows/Linux platformGood knowledge of PL/SQL and exp-imp data pump utility.Creating users, allocation to appropriate table space, as with necessary privileges and roles for all databases.Monitoring, backups, troubleshooting, security, user maintenance, reporting, migrations, upgrades, data copying, etc.Work with application teams on database design and database issues.Disaster recovery and database restorationExperience with at least one of PostgreSQL, MS-SQL and MongoDB.Basic understanding of cloud environments, preferably Azure and AWSData warehouse experienceDatabase performance tuning and configuring stats pack report.Work with Engineering teams to address concerns and maintain database standards.Diagnose and troubleshoot database errors.Recommend and implement emerging database technologies.Create and manage database reports, visualizations, and dashboards.Create automation for repeating database tasks.

Qualifications:

6-9 years’ experience of implementing database solutions.Strong command of SQL and SQL server tools.Advanced knowledge of Oracle database security, backup and recovery, and performance monitoring standardsGood understanding of relational data modelingFamiliarity with data replication using ADG and Oracle GoldengateMonitor and maintain system health and security.Excellent written and verbal communication skillsProficient in Python, Bash shell scripting, and SQL.Clear understanding of Data Structures and Object-Oriented Principles.Multiple years of experience supporting horizontally scalable, highly available, highly resilient, and low latency applicationsMultiple years of experience with Cloud-native development and Container Orchestration tools (Serverless, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, etc.). Experience in cloud native technologies and patterns (AWS, Google Cloud)
