Your impact on the team Working as part of the Interface team, the Oracle & ETL Developer provides hands-on support to our internal business units. Working closely with Salesforce, business and other technology teams to build robust solutions. The team environment is extremely innovative, intellectually challenging and very dynamic. Research, troubleshooting, analytical, technical and soft skills are a must. The ability to work collaboratively or on your own, being highly motivated with a great work ethic to drive and succeed. Focus on quality and service delivery, with an eye for attention to detail. This is a hybrid position for candidates located in Mexico City and open to applicants authorized to work for any employer within Mexico. What can you expect from the position? Addressing the defects and Change requests and working closely with SA, BA and Testing team to implementing the requirements. Work closely with onshore and offshore development teams to develop a strong understanding of the project and objectives. Interacting with business requirement team and converting requirement into TSD. Driving the end-to-end delivery of the functionality until production release. Develop and manage ETL workflows for data integration and transformation tasks, leveraging tools such as Informatica along with Oracle database features such as stored procedures, functions, and packages. Performance tune SQL's, application programs and instances. Providing technical assistance, problem resolution and troubleshooting support. What can you bring to the role? Total 4-5 years of experience with application development on Oracle RDBMS, SQL, PL/SQL. Recent hands-on experience with ETL development using tools like Informatica or similar (e.g., Talend, SSIS, etc), with proven ability to develop, test, and deploy ETL workflows and mappings. Hands-on knowledge in creating PL/SQL Packages, Procedures, Functions, Triggers, Views and Exception handling for retrieving, manipulating, checking and migrating complex data sets in Oracle. Hands on Experience in writing complex SQL queries. Query optimization and performance tuning using indexing, partitioning, query tracing, explain plan, gather stat, hint, analysis of ADDM & AWR report, collection etc. Experience in Data migration at application/DB version level. Experience in development & low-level design of solutions. Hands on experience in frequent code deployment into multiple environments. Why McGraw Hill?
