**Your role and responsibilities**
Oracle Functional Consultant - Finance will play a critical role in implementing and supporting Oracle Financials solutions for clients, as well as supporting data migration. You will join an emerging IBM Consulting team within the Client Innovation Centre, with a specific focus on Oracle SaaS. This dynamic group of consultants excels in both business and technology consulting, supporting clients through all phases of the IT project lifecycle. From the proposal and sales stages to complex greenfield implementation projects, and ongoing application maintenance and support, the team provides comprehensive solutions for both international and domestic clients.
**Required technical and professional expertise**
· Utilize analytical and data services knowledge to assist with implementing migration strategy.
· Analyse client data to identify data migration requirements and develop data migration strategies.
· Develop data mapping plans to map client data to Oracle Financials data structures
· Work closely with the team of application consultants and clients to create custom solutions for our clients.
· Lead data conversion efforts to convert client data to Oracle Financials formats.
· Validate data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
· Configure Oracle Financials to meet client requirements, including setting up ledgers, accounts, and Fiscal calendars.
· Set up and maintain client chart of accounts, including account codes, account descriptions, and account hierarchies.
· Set up and maintain client fiscal calendars, including fiscal periods, fiscal years, and accounting periods.
· Proactively communicate with clients and the application implementation team to achieve exceptional client satisfaction.
· Document implementation and system related issues and participate in the collaborative resolution of these issues
· Understand and follow the project plan for client implementations (timeline, budget, schedule, statement of work, training plan, etc.)
**Preferred technical and professional experience**
· Proficiency in Oracle Financials, including configuration, customization, and troubleshooting.
· Familiarity with data integration tools, including Oracle Data Integrator and Informatica PowerCenter.
· Familiarity with cloud computing platforms, including Oracle Cloud and Amazon Web Services. Experience with relational databases (tables, view, queries, SQL and stored procedures)
· Experience with Data Migration, merges of information as it relates to information systems
* Basic knowledge of ETL tool development
· Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization
· Willingness and ability to learn modern technologies and develop new skills
· Strong problem-solving skills
· Effective communication and interpersonal skills used in effective collaboration
· Ability to work creatively and apply analytical thinking
· Willingness to travel for business trips to support clients onsite when required - willing to work in a client-facing role, participating in client workshops, conducting user training.
· Good understanding of the software development lifecycle (design, build, test, delivery, support all within agile)
· Fluent in English (both written and verbal form), with other languages being an advantage
