Job Description:
The Operational Readiness and Airport Transition (ORAT) Coordinator is responsible for supporting the team with the seamless transition of airport operations from construction to full operational status.
This role involves coordinating the team and various stakeholders, including airport authorities, airlines, contractors, and regulatory bodies, to ensure that all operational systems, processes, and personnel are ready for the opening of new or refurbished airport facilities.
What You'll Be Doing:
Support with the development and implementation of a comprehensive ORAT plan and schedule.
Coordinate with project teams to ensure construction milestones align with operational readiness requirements.
Facilitate stakeholder engagement and communication to ensure all parties are informed and prepared for transition activities.
Support with operational readiness assessments and help to identify potential risks or issues.
Organize and trials, simulations, and training exercises to validate operational readiness.
Ensure compliance with all relevant aviation regulations and standards.
Monitor and report on the progress of ORAT activities, providing regular updates to senior management.
Develop contingency plans to address any unforeseen issues that may arise during the transition.
Support the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and training materials.
Assist in the handover process, ensuring that all documentation and operational systems are in place and functioning correctly.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor's degree in aviation management, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 15 years of experience in airport operations, project management, or a related area.
Strong understanding of airport operations, including regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Excellent organizational and project management skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
Certification in Project Management (PMP or equivalent).
Previous experience with ORAT projects.
Knowledge of airport safety and security protocols.
