Job Description

We are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Order Entry Pharmacy Technicians to join our team. This role involves handling various data entry tasks within our pharmacy system, ensuring accurate and timely prescription and patient information input. The position offers multiple shifts: 1st shift (9am-5:30pm), 2nd shift (3pm-11:30pm), and 3rd shift (10:30pm-7am).

ResponsibilitiesEnter new orders, discontinuations (DCs), and STAT orders into the pharmacy system.Manage Accuflow Change logs, mail order entry, CII evaluations, work queues, blister management, and patient admissions.Ensure accurate and timely input of prescription and patient information using the pharmacy computer system Framework/DocuTrack.Research, follow up, and troubleshoot discrepancies in prescription and patient data entries.Resolve order discrepancies with customers, including issues related to illegible prescriptions and potential medication concerns.Collaborate with Order Entry leadership to achieve department goals and objectives.Contribute to the evaluation and continuous improvement of client services, policies, and procedures.Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and customers.Respond to customer needs via telephone and provide excellent customer service to meet expectations.Essential SkillsData entryCustomer support experience in a pharmacy setting (registered or nonregistered)Customer serviceCall center experiencePharmacy knowledgeTyping proficiencyRetail pharmacy experienceAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience in customer support or in a pharmacy setting (registered or nonregistered).Work Environment

The work environment is a closed-door pharmacy where technicians interact with customers over the phone, not face-to-face. Technicians will work one weekend every other week, receiving a day off during the week when they have a weekend shift. They are also required to work three out of six holidays per year. The dress code includes scrubs or business casual attire with comfortable, clean tennis shoes. Order entry and customer care tasks are performed 100% on a computer with a headset. Familiarity with computers, using a headset, and multitasking is highly beneficial. The facility is very clean and organized, featuring a front desk, office area for order entry and pharmacists, an operations floor with automated equipment and shelves for refilling, computer screens displaying orders, an IV room, and a break room with coffee, water, and snacks for purchase.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $18.00/hr.
