GENERAL PURPOSE
Responsible and accountable for the customer facing activities associated with managing customer orders functioning as a member of a collaborative Order Execution Team comprised of customer care, scheduling and logistics functions. Serving as both a liaison and resource, manages order changes and provides regular updates to internal and external business partners as orders progress through the fulfillment process.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Accomplishes work through others constantly developing and maintaining mutually beneficial professional relationships with internal and external business partners.
Participates in cross-functional training on the Order Execution Team to better identify process improvement opportunities and provide support as necessary.
Proactively identify opportunities to improve customer responsiveness that support the achievement of personal, team, department and organizational goals.
Research, create, and execute solutions to solve problems while being customer focused, team oriented, and fiscally responsible. Escalates or re-directs customer requests as appropriate.
Maintain and support the corporate transportation strategy for carrier selection and load tendering.
Maintain daily contact with our transportation providers regarding equipment needs, the progress of loads and the coordination of deliveries.
Plan and schedule physical product distribution to ensure reliability to the customer.
Investigate and resolve distribution and delivery problems to insure reliability and cost effectiveness.
Take responsibility for balancing freight cost with asset utilization.
Work closely with supply management to schedule and coordinate purchase complete loads.
Using processes and tools provided, maintain accurate records of daily interactions with customer and pertinent data as required.
Performs additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience
Bachelor's Degree
8 years of experience in a customer service professional, sales, or a direct commercial customer contact position that involves extensive multi-media (phone, email, web-based) contact; manufacturing or service industry preferred.
5 years of experience in a professional traffic or distribution logistics role
Skills and Abilities
Demonstrated high level of written, verbal and interpersonal skills to communicate information, ideas, procedures and processes in a logical sequence; at a level appropriate to the audience and resulting in effective working relationships.
Proven ability to develop and nurture positive working relationships in a demanding work environment.
Ability to effectively partner with and influence internal and external business partners using positive influence to build consensus and credibility.
Functions well in a team environment, willing to share knowledge and learn other roles.
Demonstrated ability to effectively use office automation, communication, software and tools currently used in the office environment
Proven time management skills and ability to work well under shifting conditions with competing priorities and demonstrate agility in generating unique solutions to new and ambiguous situations
