**Your Career**
As an Order Operations Lead at Palo Alto Networks, you will play a pivotal leadership role in driving operational excellence across order management and fulfillment processes. You will oversee and execute the end-to-end Quote-to-Bill (QTB) process, ensuring compliance, maintaining order accuracy, and supporting timely fulfillment while managing the efficient processing of a high volume of purchase orders. Acting as the team’s subject matter expert, you will provide strategic guidance to stakeholders, resolve complex escalations, and champion system enhancements and process improvements.
This role requires exceptional organizational skills, a data-driven mindset, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You will collaborate closely with managers to develop operational strategies, optimize resources, and uphold exceptional service standards while maintaining compliance with company goals and industry standards. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Order Operations at our Santa Clara headquarters, you will play a critical role in advancing operational excellence and contributing to the team’s overall success.
**Your Impact**
+ Serve as the lead subject matter expert for all Order Operations responsibilities, ensuring effective resource utilization to support high volumes of purchase orders from distributors and resellers across EMEA, JAPAC, and NAM regions in Salesforce CRM and SAP ERP.
+ Handle escalations and system-related challenges by resolving order discrepancies and collaborating with internal teams (Sales, Deal Desk, Sales Ops) and external partners to ensure seamless order support including e-mails and or Service Now.
+ Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, including channel partners, sales representatives, logistics, and trade teams, ensuring smooth communication on order status, shipment tracking, and delivery compliance.
+ Collaborate with IT and business solutions teams to implement process enhancements, streamline order booking workflows, and improve overall operational efficiency.
+ Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for system changes or enhancements to ensure alignment with business requirements. Perform data reconciliation between Salesforce (SFDC) and SAP reporting systems to maintain accuracy and consistency.
+ Ensure all purchase orders comply with company procurement policies, licensing agreements, and regulatory requirements while maintaining revenue integrity and high levels of customer satisfaction.
+ Participate in and lead cross-functional projects, representing the team in meetings and presentations while contributing insights to enhance order operations processes.
+ Provide dedicated support during high-volume periods, including month-end and quarter-end, ensuring all order volumes are efficiently managed.
+ Develop and implement role-based training paths for new hires while mentoring team members and assisting them in overcoming system and process challenges.
+ Collaborate with management to develop and execute operational strategies aligned with business goals. Oversee daily reconciliation of the open backlog, ensuring timely resolution of on-hold, aging, and flex-commit orders.
+ Provide ongoing input and guidance to improve workflows, driving efficiency and optimization of order fulfillment processes. Act as a backup for Order Fulfillment Managers and lead key administrative tasks such as quarter-end planning and logistics arrangements.
**Your Experience**
+ 5+ years of experience in Sales Operations, Order Management, or Order Fulfillment with strong expertise in processing both hardware and software orders.
+ Demonstrated ability to manage escalations, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
+ Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across different teams and levels within the organization.
+ Experience leading User Acceptance Testing (UAT), reconciling data between multiple systems, and creating detailed documentation.
+ Experience in mentoring and training team members and contributing to process improvements.
+ Data-driven mindset with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
+ Flexibility to adapt to evolving business needs and adjust to varying workloads during peak periods
**The Team**
Our sales operation team members support our sales account managers and systems engineers to assist in large organization’s migrations to more cybersecurity. Sales operations work behind the scenes to make sure that our sales relationships run smoothly, enabling and empowering the teams across the world. You support the sales team by providing research, reports, and craft and support systems and processes that enable the process of sales. It’s a true partnership, one built on building the best cybersecurity solutions for each individual client.

**Compensation Disclosure**
The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $0 - $0/YR.
