**Job Title: Order Picker** **Job Description** We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Order Picker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in shipping and warehouse operations, with a strong commitment to quality and accuracy. This role involves receiving, pulling, boxing, and shipping parts, as well as maintaining a clean and organized work environment. **Responsibilities** + Actively pursue continuous improvement and ease of tasks to meet or exceed department needs and overall company goals. + Ensure high level of accuracy when identifying and pulling correct parts to meet or exceed customer expectations. + Understand and practice safe work habits in accordance with the company’s Safety Policy. Attend regularly scheduled department safety meetings. + Open containers, unpack, and examine incoming shipments. + Compare identifying information and count, weigh, or measure items of incoming shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records. + Reject damaged items and shortages, and store rejected items in designated areas. + Record amounts of parts received or distributed. + Verify incoming orders with part number, quantity, and description. + Route items to various departments and buildings. + Schedule the pick-up of materials with other departments and buildings. + Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins in predetermined locations. + Receive part orders and verify correct information per order. + Use computer system to locate and pull correct parts. + Pick customer orders from stock. + Transport orders to packing station using powered industrial trucks or hand trucks. + Label materials with identifying information including part number and quantity. + Repackage smaller containers with correct part number when parts are pulled from bins. + Reject and take appropriate action for any inconsistency between order placed and parts stocked/pulled. + Confirm order contains the correct part numbers and quantity of parts to match the transfer documentation. + Sort orders as necessary for correct priority. + Verify correct parts pulled according to packing slip. + Ensure parts are identified/identifiable as they are placed into boxes. + Accurately fill out packing slip. + Box parts appropriately: assemble box, pack items with cushioning materials, and seal box using automatic tape and packing machines, tape gun, and pneumatic staple gun. + Lift box from boxing table and place on gravity belt or position packages for shipping. + Read packing slip to determine proper carrier based on packing slip and/or size of order. + Remove box from gravity belt and place on appropriate scale. Weigh box, enter information into scale, place carrier-shipping label on box, and put box into appropriate shipping bin. + Complete paperwork, including verification of parts shipped, and shipment type. Initial completed paperwork. + File daily reports in appropriate place. + Ship parts internationally using proper paperwork including C.O.O, Custom Invoices, Chamber of Commerce Signatures, and International Waybills. + Accurately use Barcode equipment to track shipments. + Enter packing slip shipping information into the computer, adding freight costs as appropriate. + Verify information on packing and freight method. + Keep area neat and in order. + Keep area stocked with supplies, including lifting roll of packing material from floor onto packing machine. + Perform other duties as required by the position. **Essential Skills** + High School diploma or GED. + Minimum one year of shipping experience. + Ability to work at a fast pace and pick orders efficiently. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Other manufacturing experience is helpful. **Why Work Here?** Join our dynamic team and enjoy a challenging and rewarding work environment. Ambient working temperature may range from 50 F to 90 F, depending on the season. The work area is clean and free from wet, slippery conditions. The environment is very fast-paced, and employees are expected to maintain a high level of productivity. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Woodinville, Washington. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $21.50 - $21.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
