About The Job

This is a unique opportunity for a college intern who is earning their degree either in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.  This will allow for the individual to get a hands-on approach and experience with accounting operations and understand how these activities relate to the general ledger and financial reporting.


What You’ll Be Doing:

This is a Spring Internship that will last from late May 2025 through late August 2025. In this role, the individual will rotate through the Order to Cash organization spending 2 to 3 weeks, depending on the duration of the internship in the following areas.


Audit new orders, verifying all order information in Salesforce is correct and matches the signed order form, and is compliant with Brightly/Siemen’s guidelines Understand a basic contract document as it relates to invoicing (identify and confirm invoicing requirements, termination, compliance). Prepare client invoices, resolve invoicing related issues through change requests and cases. Learn the Cash application process across global business unit’s invoices, processing refunds, advance & over-payments in Intacct (ERP).Follow up with customers for any missing remittance advice or discrepancies.Learn collection process of past due invoices across multiple organizationsPost journal entries as needed to complete cash applications.Learn/understand the provisioning of client softwareLearn Data analytics and reporting


What You Need:

Rising sophomore or higherUnderstands the importance of accurate accounting for customer invoices and statements. Highly organized, strong time management, and detail oriented.Ability to pivot and work in a fast-paced environment.A passion and commitment to personal, team, and company success
The pay range for this full-time position is $20/hour.
