Together, these roles will provide staff coaching and development opportunities to the LSA community. This team enhances the development of staff as individuals while fostering a culture of engagement, learning, and growth by providing intentional training and programs to the LSA community. We also support community building and skills enhancement through communities of practice and coaching, both individually and via cohort. The Organizational Leadership and Professional Development Specialist plays a key role in efforts to promote a positive, inclusive working culture where employees can thrive, feel like they belong, and are valued. This involves working and collaborating with diverse teams across the college. We are looking for candidates willing to work a hybrid work schedule with three days onsite and the opportunity for two days of remote work per week. The target salary for this position is between $90K - $110K. We invite you to take a look at LSAsmission, vision, and values (https://lsa.umich.edu/strategicvision) . **Responsibilities*** + Co-design, facilitate, manage, and evaluate leadership and professional development sessions for small, medium, and large groups. + Serve as an individual and group coach for LSA staff. + Track, monitor, and report attendance and outcomes data for internal organizational development professional development and leadership programs. + Help with special projects as requested by senior administrative leadership and the office of the dean. + Support the Chief People Officer in envisioning, designing, and implementing programs for leadership development to improve organizational effectiveness, culture, and climate, and enhance community professional growth, satisfaction, and aspirations. + Strengthen or develop programs that support engagement in interdisciplinary communication or cross unit partnerships; and advancement to administrative leadership roles. + Partner with the LSA Senior Trainer on the establishment and delivery of new training programs, as well as with other training providers across UM and in the external learning and training community. **Required Qualifications*** + Masters degree in Education, organizational development or related field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience, and training certification(s). + Minimum of 8 years in curriculum, instructional design, leadership and/or professional development role or equivalent role/experience. + Minimum of 8 years demonstrated experience in developing program learning and support materials, assessment and evaluation and conveying in depth organizational knowledge with all modes of communication. + Demonstrated ability in facilitation and public speaking, leading groups and delivering presentations. + Demonstrated ability to assess and learn new concepts, deliver training programs with a goal of conveying skill competencies through coaching, facilitation, and building continuous learning culture. + Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external customers in a manner that reflects LSA's mission, vision, and values. + Conduct needs assessment and analyze data to generate recommendations, to solve college-wide or unit specific issues concerns by providing tools, training, or recommendations. + Expert knowledge of adult-learning theories and best practices. + Ability to actively listen, paying attention to non-verbal cues, and demonstrating genuine empathy and understanding to create a safe and trusting space for open communication and reflection for participants. + Demonstrated skill at facilitating participants self-discovery through insightful questioning and guidance + Excellent organizational, analytical and independent program solving skills. + Proven ability to work independently and assume a broad range of responsibility; able to set own deadlines and prioritize multiple tasks. + Collaborate effectively as a member of a highly-functioning team. **Desired Qualifications*** + PhD Degree in a relevant field. + Higher education experience. **Modes of Work** Positions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department.
