Qualifications and Requirements: + Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required. + Certification: + Must have completed a medical assistant program that meets certification eligibility requirements. + Must be certified as one of the following: + Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) + Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through American Medical Technologists (AMT) + Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) through the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) + National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) through the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) + Clinical Medical Assistant Certification (CMAC) through the American Medical Certification Association (AMCA) + CPR certification required. + Experience: + Medical assistant or physician office experience required. + Referral management and scheduling experience is a bonus. + Skills: + Strong verbal and written communication skills. + Knowledge of clinical and clerical operations, service excellence, and clinical quality initiatives preferred. + Familiarity with computers required; electronic medical record (EMR) experience preferred. + Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
