The Department of Orthopaedics Division of Spine Surgery at the University of Maryland School of Medicine is recruiting for a fellowship trained Board Certified or Board Eligible, Full-Time orthopaedic spine surgeon. The individual should have expertise in adult spine surgery with interest in minimally invasive surgical procedures. The anticipated start date is September 1, 2025. Candidates must be board certified/eligible in internal medicine and eligible for an unrestricted license in the State of Maryland. This position requires a medical degree from a recognized accredited domestic university (or foreign equivalent), a strong commitment to patient care and teaching, and the ability to work well in a team setting. Competitive candidates will demonstrate excellence in teaching, clinical patient care, and research (clinical, biomechanics, or basic biological science). A substantial record of academic accomplishment as demonstrated by a robust record of publication is expected.Expected rank for this position will be Assistant Professor or higher, however, final rank and tenure status will be commensurate with selected candidate’s experience. HIRING RANGE: $364,500 - $740,067 per year(Commensurate with education and experience) The referenced salary range reflects base pay, which is based on faculty rank and years in rank.
