**Overview** **Novant Health Medical Group** is looking for a conscientious,compassionate,and experienced **Orthopedic Physician Assistant** to join an established, growing practice of 13 providers in Cornelius, NC. This position would support a sports medicine surgeon and provide clinical care for orthopedic patients in an ambulatory and acute setting. We are looking for a candidate who is experienced in joint injections, and surgical assist. The ideal candidate is patient-centric, flexible, adaptable, dependable, and treats each member of the team whether clinical or non-clinical as a valued part of the team. **Experience in sports medicine preferred.** Our expert surgeons and PA’s work collaboratively to provide outstanding quality to our operative and non-operative patients. Our Orthopedic providers treat patients with a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions. Candidates are responsible for performing a variety of functions under the supervision of the orthopedic surgeon. NCCPA or registry with state nursing board, BLS, DEA registry required. **Additional Skills Required:** Ability to successfully complete generic and depart-specific skills validation and competency testing; Thorough knowledge of diagnosis, and pharmacology; Thorough skill in physical assessment and management of chronic illness; Communication skills, both verbal and written; general computer knowledge is preferred; ability to work independently, yet in collaboration when necessary. Ability to use problem-solving, decision making, creative and communication skills.
