Position Summary: This position is responsible for providing excellent customer service to patients, assisting healthcare providers in a clinic setting, and training & supervising a cohort of customer service agents.

Essential Job Functions: 1. Supervise Patient Care Assistants (PCAs) • Oversee daily activities of team to ensure efficient and effective care delivery. • Train, mentor, and provide performance feedback to team to maintain high standards of care. • Schedule shifts, ensuring appropriate coverage during busy periods. • Conduct regular performance evaluations and identify areas for improvement. 2. Coordinate Patient Flow • Ensure smooth and timely patient flow through the clinic, coordinating with medical providers to prioritize urgent cases. • Monitor wait times and address any bottlenecks in the office to maintain a positive patient experience. • Help resolve issues related to patient appointment scheduling or delays 3. Manage Documentation and Record Keeping • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions, vital signs, and other relevant information. • Monitor the completion of patient charts and assist team with maintaining comprehensive, organized medical records. • Ensure adherence to HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards. 4. Monitor Staff Performance and Provide Support • Address any conflicts or challenges within the team, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment. • Be available to assist with difficult or emotionally charged patient situations. • Provide ongoing training to ensure the team remain informed about best practices and updates in orthopedic care. 5. Ensure Compliance with Medical and Legal Standards • Stay up to date with orthopedic best practices, regulatory changes, and medical guidelines. • Conduct regular audits to ensure that the team follows all relevant protocols and standards, including safety, infection control, and confidentiality policies. 6. Facilitate Communication Between Staff and Providers • Act as a liaison between physicians, orthopedic surgeons, and other clinical staff to ensure seamless care delivery. 7. Handle Administrative Duties • Assist with scheduling patient appointments and follow-ups in coordination with medical staff. • Monitor office budgets related to PCA staff, including overtime, and materials or supplies used. • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the PCA team to assess team performance and overall efficiency.

 

Qualifications: Qualifications: • Demonstrated success as a Patient Care Assistant • Excellent customer service • Professional written and verbal communication • Must present a kind and positive attitude • Proficient in basic computer skills • Commitment to team success as a function of personal achievement • Ability to train peers in new processes

 

Hours: Full-time (Mon-Friday)
