The Wewoka Indian Health Center is a Joint Commission accredited federal facility in Oklahoma. **Responsibilities**
+ The Orthopedic Physician shall provide from 1 to 5 eight (8) hour clinic(s) per month (with a minimum of 20 (8 hr) clinics per year.
+ Hours of Orthopedic clinics shall be 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Joint injections (knee, shoulder, hand, etc.)
+ Scope of services shall include fluid aspiration of joints, casting, general examinations, diagnosis, and treatment plans with recommendations for all patients seen.
+ Full utilization of the RPMS Electronic Health Record (EHR) and notification systems to communicate with the nursing and medical providers at the Wewoka Service Unit. The notification system is set up to provide continuity of care for the patients.
+ Appropriate documentation of services, education and treatment of patients in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
+ Provide consultative reports at the time of examinations in the EHR.
+ Responsible for actions necessary for Joint Commission standard compliance and administrative policies as directed.
+ Other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications**
+ Permanent, current, full and unrestricted license to practice Orthopedic medicine in a state, District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
+ Board Certified in Orthopedics.
+ 5 years of experience as an Orthopedic Physician.
+ Rubella immunity shall be documented either by serologic test or by proof of immunization.
+ A yearly PPD is required for all persons who have had no previous positive tuberculin skin test.
+ A series of three (3) Hepatitis B immunizations or serologic proof of past infection is required.
+ A yearly flu vaccine or flu vaccine waiver is required.
+ CDC recommendations for COVID vaccine or vaccine waiver is required.
_Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:_
+ Proficient with MS Office Suite.
+ Excellent written and oral communication skills.
