Inova Health System Orthopedic Trauma Surgery team is seeking a dedicated medial student who is interested in a year-long clinical Research Fellowship – Research Project Associate to join the team. This role will be full-time day shift from Monday – Friday.

Assists in the preparation of documents or manuscripts for submission to peer-reviewed journals or posters for conference presentations. Obtains data from internal and external databases to support project requirements. Exercises fiscal responsibility in decision making for project related expenditures by maintaining accurate records of expenditures with supporting documentation and receipts. Conducts and synthesizes reviews of literature to support the purpose and hypotheses of a study/project according to project timelines. Performs research procedures as needed including screening and enrollment of research subjects, specimen/data collection, study baseline and follow-up visits. Assists in the preparation and submission of regulatory documents to the study sponsor and IRB as required by protocol and regulatory requirements. Collaborate on a team with 2 other clinical research coordinators.Research Project Associate Additional Requirements:
Work schedule: 8-hour shift (Monday – Friday, Days). Education: Associate Degree, 60 or more credit hours toward Bachelor's Degree or certified as a research coordinator through the ACRP. Bachelors degree preferred. Experience: Two (2) years in research, administrative or clinical support role (Healthcare administration).
