Job Purpose/Summary:
This role is responsible for assisting the OSH & Environmental Assistant Manager in overseeing all matters regarding the plant’s Environmental, Safety, and health in close alignment with legal compliance with government regulations and company standards and for meeting corporate health and safety objectives.
Responsible for day-to-day Safety, Health, and Environmental operation activities including workplace inspection, contractor management, emergency equipment check, injury management, communication, and promotion of the SHE issues.
Also responsible for enforcing safety & health practices at the site for day/night/weekend shifts in rotation including public holidays.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist the Safety & Environmental Manager in the implementation of scheduled safety inspections at night/day through the workplace inspection, and behavioral-based safety and manage with the respective department to close findings and effective corrective actions.Involve in the inspection of all areas of the facility for unsafe or unhealthy conditions, initiating corrective action as necessary, and ensuring the safety of the TM and company property.Assist in the implementation of the contractor management system from the safety induction and permit To Work (PTW) management including monitoring and ensuring contractors adhere to the safety and health requirements.Implements plant-level incident management program which will meet or exceed all legal and corporate minimum standards including management of first aid rooms, maintenance of first aid equipment, and inspection of the emergency equipment: SCBA, AED, Emergency Assembly equipment.Provide treatment for minor ailments and provide first aid treatment to injuries, follow-up and referrals, and emergency care for job-related injuries and illness at the night shift.Conduct partial and full emergency evacuation drills (fire, accident, chemical spillage, etc) for the night shift as per company requirements with supervision from the manager.Promote safety, health, and awareness at the plant operative level by participating in the SHE Score program, SOR, EO,R and engagement activity.Examines plans and specifications for new machinery and plant layouts to ensure proper safety applications are in place (guarding, ergonomics, safe handling etc).Deliver basic safety and health operational training and briefing to TM, and contractors as and when necessary.Requirements:
Education:
Minimum Diploma holder in Occupational Safety & Health, or attending Safety and Health Officer Course or OSH CoordinatorExperience:
Preferably 1-5 years experience in contractor management or Incident ManagementBeing registered OSH Coordinator is an advantageAt least 1-3 years of involvement in manufacturingExcellent English & Malay – spoken and written. Nepal / Bangladesh language is an advantage.Behavioral Competencies :
Must have the confidence to speak and present to groups of senior peopleCan work independently without close day-to-day supervision.Ability to excel with limited direction; self-managed.Capable of leading presentations in front of various groups including employees and contractorsOutstanding communicator with exceptional interpersonal skills; with a history of communicating effectively and persuasively in both large and small groups.Technical Competencies
Working knowledge of manufacturing safety technicalStrong hands-on on effective and advanced SHE inspection with the ability to track and close findingsKnowledge of the incident investigation and analysis.Working knowledge of safety and health requirements in Malaysia as such scaffolding requirements etc.Ability to conduct and handle emergency situation as such fires, chemical spill and etc.Able to conduct first aid treatment to the injury.Other Requirements :
