OSHA Manager Charlotte, North CarolinaThis Is What You’ll Do:
Partner with manager to develop an OSHA Safety framework and operating model. Ensure that all Donor Centers and Corporate Departments are compliant with OSHA standards, including hazard communication, PPE usage, emergency preparedness, and recordkeeping. Manage safety audits, hazard assessments, and monthly workplace safety inspections to identify risks and hazards, ensuring corrective measures are implemented. Investigate workplace accidents, injuries, and near misses to identify root causes, and recommend preventative actions. Develop and facilitate OSHA-required training programs for employees, supervisors, and managers, ensuring all personnel are properly educated on safety practices. Maintain and update all safety-related records, including OSHA 300 logs, safety audit reports, incident investigations, and training records. Develop and maintain emergency action plans and response procedures, and ensure employees are trained to respond to emergencies. Develop and update safety policies and procedures based on OSHA guidelines, industry best practices, and organizational needs. Work closely with site managers and department heads to implement and monitor safety programs and ensure they are integrated into daily operations. Utilize data analytics to evaluate safety performance metrics (e.g., incident rates, lost workdays, near misses), and develop actionable insights to enhance safety programs, reduce risk, and drive continuous improvement. Stay informed of any changes in OSHA federal and state regulations, industry safety standards and adjust company policies and procedures accordingly. Promote a proactive safety culture by leading safety meetings, distributing safety communications, and encouraging employees to report potential hazards.This Is What It Takes:
Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety and health, or a related field. 4-6 years’ experience in OSHA compliance, or safety management. Proven experience in developing and implementing safety programs, conducting safety audits, and maintaining compliance records. Ability to analyze data to assess risks and implement preventative measures. Excellent communication and presentation skills for training employees and presenting findings to management. Ability to conduct detailed incident investigations and identify root causes.May require travel to perform in-depth safety audits, inspections, and investigations.
