OSP Maintenance Technician

At Ervin Cable Construction, as an OSP Maintenance Technician, you'll set up and take care of the fiber optic networks that help connect people. You'll make sure everything runs smoothly, fix any problems, and keep us connected without any interruptions.
**What you'll do as an OSP Maintenance Technician:**
+ Install, disconnect, reconnect, add, change, and troubleshoot fiber optic internet, and telephone based on guidelines
+ Install, setup and configure all equipment
+ Identify and try to remedy sources of customer-perceived issues
+ Review all requested services with the customer in order to ensure understanding and agreement
+ Educate the customer regarding product and service usage
+ Clean, maintain, and stock vehicle and equipment
+ Work overtime, travel, and perform on-call/afterhours responsibilities as needed
+ Perform work in all weather conditions
**What you'll need:**
+ To be 18 years of age or older
+ Authorization to work in the United States for this company
+ High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
+ Valid State driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
Physical abilities & exposures
+ Routinely: work at heights, in confined spaces and alone in remote locations, operate vehicle and heavy machinery; squeeze, fine hand motion, work with arms above shoulder level, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs, and lift greater than 55 pounds
+ Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse
