What you’ll do

Vodafone Network Operations ensures the operations of several network platforms including the supporting tools, Operating Support Systems. The role purpose is to ensure the excellence in operations of UK OSS Platforms, high service availability, lean and optimized processes, and proactive monitoring. Ensure platforms/systems maturity and stability while helping the program delivering according to the predefined objectives, and a strong and focus communication with the costumer and incident resolution within agreed targets.

Main Responsibilities

Interaction with the internal costumer with the purpose to ensure the needed support according to the customer needs in due time;Interaction with Vendors to facilitate and support in any needed action;Interaction with Engineering department to ensure the proper delivery following the agreed standards and deliverables within the planned times;Internal interaction with the purpose to facilitate processes and implement improvement actions.Who you are University degree in Computer Science or Telecommunications or related fields;Detailed knowledge of OSS & Tools monitoring systems (Temip, Nagios, Solarwinds, Spectrum, Netscout, etc.);Detailed knowledge of Operation Systems (Windows, Linux, Solaris, HP-UNIX) and Database Administration (SQL, Oracle);Proficient with virtualization technologies: VmWare vSphere/ESX, etc;Python Scripting skills are a big plus;Previous experience with: Huawei U2000 or MAE, Nokia Netact, Ericsson OSS-RC or ENM,  Alcatel OMS, Nokia Netviewer, W-NMS, Tellabs;Experience in operations, networks, OSS or IT experience being relevant;Fluent in English, spoken and written;Availability for on call support and scheduled out of hours works;ITIL, system support, service management knowledge required;Understanding of Agile methodologies (SCRUM).Cloud Knowledge (theoretical or vendor oriented: Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, Wind River)Not a perfect fit?
