Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of Aspen IP.21 systems. This role involves providing end-user support, developing project documentation, offering technical guidance to junior engineers, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in engineering, specifically within Process Information Management Systems (PIMS), and a strong background in systems integration and automation.
ResponsibilitiesSupport the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of Aspen IP.21 systems, including lifecycle management of the PIMS architecture.Provide end-user support including basic IP.21 user training, report development, support with Excel add-ins, trend development, and development of ASPEN graphics.Provide data access to relevant systems.Modify the ASPEN IP.21 configuration, including adding new tags and modifying existing tags.Develop and maintain project documentation, including design specifications and project reports.Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.Ensure all projects meet regulatory requirements, best practices, and industry standards.Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities.Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, and apply this knowledge to improve engineering processes and procedures.Essential SkillsBachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.At least 7 years of relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.Strong knowledge of PIMS, preferably Aspen IP.21.Experience leading engineering projects and initiatives.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Additional Skills & QualificationsProcess Controls experience is a plus.Experience integrating PIMS systems with various other systems (e.g., Automation / Controls systems).Experience working with OPC communication is preferred.Experience with SQL*Plus is preferred.Work Environment
This role is based onsite in Mobile, AL, with project-related travel required. The work location is at the Aerosil Plant on Evonik Road in Theodore, AL. The role offers a stable work environment with opportunities for growth within the company.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100.00 - $100.00/hr.
