This role focuses on prioritizing new OTA requests and HF (Hot Fix) requests, developing and maintaining an OTA software update strategy and roadmap that aligns with the organization’s business objectives and customer needs. The engineer will obtain approval for OTA software update plans by coordinating and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, including software developers, engineers, testers, suppliers, and joint ventures, to ensure effective OTA software releases.
Experience working on software development project, preferred cockpit SW or agile SW project experience. Ability to leverage/develop various SW project dashboard / tools for high efficiency project management. Fast learning capability to learn and apply new knowledge in SW project. ASPICE and Agile knowledge is preferred. Effective communications skills Effective facilitation skills Ability to lead diverse cross-functional teams Working knowledge of project management concepts and disciplines, Agile knowledge is preferred Working knowledge of IT and Finance policydetailed responsibilities would cover:
Coordinate Cross-Functional Teams: Manage activities of cross-functional teams to plan and deliver OTA (Over-the-Air) updates, addressing key customer concerns and requirements. Develop strong relationships with cross-functional team members to facilitate effective collaboration. Stakeholder Interface: Serve as the primary interface with vehicle programs, P&L, and other key stakeholders to prioritize OTA updates and align go-to-market strategies. Process Optimization: Lead the optimization of OTA processes and proactively apply lessons learned with a strategic mindset. Project Management: Utilize project management best practices to manage OTA project budgets, quality, and resource allocation. Metrics Management: Independently lead and manage key OTA planning metrics, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of their interrelations and maintaining focus on priorities. Project Scope and Objectives: Support the definition of project scope, goals, objectives, deliverables, and requirements. Governance Operations: Lead governance operations for OTA prioritization. Milestone Management: Oversee <OPA> milestone deliverable criteria and approvals with minimal supervision. Work Plan Development: Independently develop OTA work plans, identifying dependencies and making strategic decisions. Dependency Monitoring: Identify and monitor OTA dependencies, escalating concerns to appropriate stakeholders proactively. Schedule and Timeline Management: Plan and maintain OTA schedules, timelines, and milestones using appropriate tools and dashboards. Lessons Learned: Incorporate lessons learned from previous projects and capture new lessons at the conclusion of each OTA project.Documentation: Ensure all OTA OPA documents are complete, current, and properly stored
