Job Description

THE POSITION

Our Hoosier location in Lakeville, IN is seeking a Class A CDL Driver to join our team.  OTR Class A CDL Driver position is responsible for pickup and delivery of items ranging from raw materials to racing tires.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

The OTR driver will be responsible for delivery of racing tires and pick up of raw materialsLong-distance drivingCommunicating and coordinating with Logistics officeObeying and following applicable traffic lawsSecuring cargo and properly arranging and balancing it within the vehicleMaintaining a detailed log of working hours in compliance with state and federal regulationsEnsuring any mechanical issues with the vehicle are corrected before drivingPlanning routes and meeting delivery schedulesComplying with truck driving rules and regulationsReporting defects, accidents, and violationsPerforming daily maintenance of truck (refueling, cleaning, etc.)Scheduling appointments with vendorsPerforming pre-and post-trip vehicle inspection reportsBeing able to work within GeotabSubmitting expense reports through Concur

Qualifications

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE

1+ years Class A CDL driving experienceCurrent/Valid Class A CDLMust be able to read and follow written and verbal instructions in standard English.Excellent communication and customer service abilities.Courteous and helpful interaction with customersThe ability to make informed decisions with sometimes short notice amid fluid conditionsProfessional appearance and clean work habits are essential.Accept feedback and implement necessary changes to improve performanceLegal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
