Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities:
In this challenging role you are responsible for project execution of our chemical water treatment dosing, measurement & control portfolio projects in primarily Belgium, Netherland, with occasional travel to support other regions in North-East Europe. This allows our customers to reduce their water usage & improve their energy efficiency. You provide electrical & mechanical solutions with support of the design & construction team
and work directly with the commercial & service teams and our customers. The OTR Project Engineer is a professional service provider.


Specific responsibilities include:

Comply with integrity and safety as required by Veolia policiesComply with Veolia WTS quality standards and initiativesAfter PO has been received:Attend / arrange project kick-off meeting with customer, commercial team, OTR Design engineer(s), OTR Project ManagerAttend / arrange project kick-off meeting with suppliersReview planning of site works with OTR Project Manager. For small projects the OTR Project Engineer creates the planning.Become familiar with the scope by learning the technical package prepared by the OTR Design team (electrical drawing, I/O list, P&ID, GA drawing, etc.). For small projects this is prepared by the OTR Project Engineer.Manage construction on-site:Arrange work permits or other documentation requiredComply with work permitsIn case of working with subcontractors: Daily EHS heads-up and reminder for Last Minute Risk AssessmentArrange scaffolding, electricity, water and other facilities where needed with customerAttend site inspection arranged by OTR Project Manager. For small projects this is done by the OTR Project Engineer. Answer customer questions on site when neededCommunicate on-site with customer potential issues we see for executing the project in time or safety concernsStop all works in case of an unexpected or unacceptable safety riskExecute project in timing agreed with customer ▪ Supervise subcontractor(s) used for execution of the jobPerform site commissioning & training to customer & commercial teamDo troubleshooting together with OTR Project Manager in case of issuesManagement of issues under warranty together with OTR Project ManagerCommunication is professionally with customers / employees to explain design an documentationSupport OTR Design Engineers in case needed and depending on workloadSupport Repair & Maintenance Technician in case needed and depending on workloadBack-up for Repair & Maintenance TechnicianTravel outside of the geographic area when neededParticipating in the local team meetings to share best practices

Qualifications

Qualifications preferred to do this role:

The candidate has a degree in electro engineering / process automation or proven knowledge / experience.Excellent communication skills, fluency in Dutch and English, both orally and in writing. German / French is a plus.Time management skills.Can do attitude and no 9.00 to 17.00 mentalityYou can work in a high-profile environment with clear targets & deadlines.Strong work ethic and interpersonal skills.Affinity with mid – heavy & large industry.IT competent (AutoCAD, MS Project, Visio, ..) is a plusWilling to travel within Germany, Belgium & Netherlands frequently, and outside if needed.Good problem-solving capability.Team player


Experience preferred to do this role:
3...5 years experience is a plus


Skills preferred to do this role:

Knowledge and proven ability in the execution of long-term service agreements.Well-developed communication skills, both verbal and written.Understanding of HSE regulations and HSE policies in the industrial environment.Interacts well with external and internal stakeholders.Knowledge of water & process treatment technologies.
