Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated OTR Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating company-owned and leased tractors and trailers to facilitate shipping and receiving operations. The driver must obey all traffic laws and DOT safety rules while ensuring timely and safe deliveries.
ResponsibilitiesCheck delivery schedule and receive assignment from supervisor.Operate company-owned and leased tractors and trailers.Obey all traffic laws and DOT safety rules.Connect and disconnect semi-trailer and hoses properly.Back trailers into dock or unloading area as instructed by the customer.Unload product to dock or per customer’s instructions.Make customer deliveries safely and on time.Perform outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup operations.Perform required before, during, and after trip inspections and complete required paperwork.Report all deficiencies found to Shipping Clerk.Complete daily logs, keeping them current and accurate, and turn them in weekly.Call in daily to update traffic manager on current status.Essential SkillsValid CDL.2 years of experience.Complete DOT file on record per company policy.Pass a DOT physical prior to hire and repeat annually.Trained (licensed) in safe operation of the mentioned equipment.Familiar with and able to interpret packing slips and loading tallies.Familiar with and comply with all DOT and Motor Vehicle laws and regulations and company safety rules.Ability to travel, including overnight stays.Ability to follow directions as laid out on daily trip report.Familiar with proper loading techniques and procedures for the industry.Familiar with common material handling equipment (forklifts, badgers, hand carts).Additional Skills & QualificationsPerform other tasks as directed by the traffic manager.Why Work Here?
We offer competitive pay with $0.08 per mile for backhauls, flexible time off (loads permitting), and a short trip bonus of $75 for any miles under 450. For any stops over 2, drivers receive $18 per stop. In case of breakdowns or other issues, after 2 hours, drivers will receive $17 per hour for detention time.
Work Environment
The role involves traveling mainly in the Midwest, NC, and occasionally to Colorado and Florida. The driver will need to be familiar with the proper operation of tractors and trailers and comply with all DOT and company safety regulations. The position requires the ability to follow directions as laid out on daily trip reports and may involve overnight stays away from home.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
