Outbound PM Supervisor | GPC Asia Pacific (NZ)

The role of the Outbound PM Supervisor is to develop, administer and lead the assigned processes and procedures within the Auckland Distribution Centre in line with inventory requirements, team leadership, health and safety, quality measurement and control, contributing to the delivery of key initiatives and providing support to the Distribution team to ensure targets are achieved

The Supervisor operates at a daily level to deliver the plan, making adjustments based on the immediate conditions (absenteeism, breakdowns, priorities).

You will be someone who can/has:

Maintain a workplace that is safe and does not risk the health and safety of staff or visitors and does not damage the environmentWork collaboratively with the Distribution Centre leadership team to ensure implementation of key objectivesUnderstanding of good practice warehousing and distributionReceiving/ Inwards Goods experienceExcellent communication skills – written and verbalSound computer and software skillsUnderstanding of the legal requirements of importing containersUnderstanding of the legal requirements of handling hazardous substances.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership of the operational team, including assignment of tasks, training, coaching, giving feedback, encouraging the development of teamwork and developing an inclusive team environmente a safety champion, ensuring that safe work practices are followed, risks in your work area are understood, hazards are reported and resolved, and incidents are responded to in accordance with defined processesManagement of the area with KPIs, ensuring that metrics are captured and achieved as definedExecute the operational plan in line with priorities and day-to-day constraints, ensuring tasks are carried out to the standard definedThrough ownership of processes, identify gaps and opportunities, raising these to the Manager to resolve collaboratively. Ensure correct processes are adhered toDeliver to the defined daily rhythm for Auckland DC, including toolbox briefings and handoversBecome competent in the use of the Auckland DC Warehouse Management System, using this and available reporting to understand, monitor and manage the operationDeliver to internal and external customer service standards, working collaboratively to solve problems as requiredEnsure the company adheres to all legislative requirements across H&S, Hazardous Substances and Biosecurity / Transitional FacilityContribute to maintaining the presentation of the Distribution Centre to a level that meets company requirementsWork in a co-operative and constructive manner with other department managers to achieve most effective, efficient results from company resources and department staff.
