Outbound Sales Development Reprensentative Job Description: As a Sales Development Representative at Sage, you will be responsible for identifying and obtaining new businesses that could be our future customers, mostly focussed on our medium segment platforms. Everyday you will be heavily focused on prospecting, outbound calling to prospective clients while also following up on marketing campaign generated leads. By excelling in this role you will ensure that as part of a larger team, our sales colleagues have a healthy sales pipeline, thus contributing directly to growing our revenue as a business. This hybrid role requires a minimum of three days per week on-site at our Johannesburg office. Key Responsibilities: 𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬, 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 – • Generates business through proactive outreach to new customers • Research, qualify, manage and track leads as well as related sales activities in Salesforce • Identify customer needs and requirements, buyer identification knowledge 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝟗𝟎 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐒𝐧𝐚𝐩𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐭 – Your first 90 days at Sage will allow you to learn the business while also getting up to speed with your roles and responsibilities. You will collaborate with your manager and team to complete the Sage onboarding program. You need to be focused and be able to motivate yourself. Taking positive actions, being open to giving and receiving feedback and guidance is also very important. 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐦𝐮𝐦 𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 – • Bachelor’s Degree • 2 years of outbound B2B sales experience • Self-Starter with ability to put together a plan, follow through on the plan and assess how to improve • Prospecting and creating quality opportunities, using different platforms. • Superior organisational skills 𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐭𝐬 - In this role, you are often the first human interaction with new customers, and that is a big responsibility.
