The Outbound Scheduling Coordinator works in a fast paced environment to schedule all outbound freight while maintaining optimal building thru put, operational efficiency and on time route departures.
\nEssential Duties:
\n\nScheduling outbound freight/routes based on departure times \nMaintain proper building thru put by releasing adequate amount of selection waves to keep up with needed building sorting\nCollaborate with transportation department to receive the necessary routes at proper time of the day. \nProvide excellent service to both internal and external customers (Operations, and Carriers)\nEnsure timely communication for any unexpected events which will affect flow of outbound freight (e.g., IT failure) to all stakeholders\nOther duties as assigned.\n\nQualifications:
\n\nHigh school diploma or GED\n1+ year logistics/warehouse experience preferred\nDemonstrated proficiency is Microsoft Office products Outlook, Word, and Excel \nExcellent interpersonal and communication skills\nMust be highly attentive to detail\nMust have the ability to multi-task \nProven experience in providing high levels of customer service to internal and external customers\nMust be flexible and willing to work the demands of the department which may be subject to evenings, weekends and holidays.\n\nCorporate Summary:
